Hi! I'm Michael Westcott and I am based in the northern part of Scotland, in Aberdeen. I am primarily a wedding videographer that aims to produce honest and engaging wedding films for couples to cherish for the rest of their lives.
However, I create corporate films, commercials, music and event videos for national and international businesses and brands worldwide.
Since 2010, I’ve helped brands and businesses like yours tell their story. From wedding films that capture the rawness of the experience to award winning commercial video production, I love to create video content to engage and create feeling.
As a full service video production freelancer I enjoy the challenge to think creatively and strategically. The size of you business does not matter I always try to bring out the ethos of your brand and how you stand out from the crowd.

We hired Michael to capture a series of films on behalf of the Scottish Government. The brief was broad and involved working with small children in a range of locations throughout Scotland. Michael has a unique combination of professionalism and calmness combined with significant technical knowledge that ensured we met all of the objectives on time and within budget. We encountered a series of unforeseen obstacles as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic which Michael worked through with extreme patience and tenacity. As a result we have a set of films that can be used to change the face of outdoor learning in Scotland. I recently hired Michael to produce a music video for my band Attack Pattern: Delta. Michael is an excellent filmmaker who took the time to find out what we were looking for and really got behind the project. His passion and eye for detail really helped flesh out the concept and the finished product is nothing short of sensational. Michael spent a lot of time getting the music video, a behind the scenes shoot and a teaser trailer completed to maximise our online presence, and his post-production advice and support has been excellent.
